Matthew Lister Obituary

Matthew Erling Lister Died unexpectedly on Friday, September 8 in San Francisco. He was 45 years old. He was born in Burlingame, grew up in Marin County and attended Redwood High School. He was active in local theater, and enjoyed gardening. He is survived by his parents, Gwyneth Lister of Corte Madera and Harold Lister of Walnut Creek; his brothers John (Renee), Jeff (Sibyl); his sister Pam and six nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his wife Jean Lister, from whom he was separated at the time of death, and his stepson Daniel Burge. Matt will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Church in Larkspur at 9:30 AM on Saturday, September 16. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the charity of your choice.

I lived with Matt at Gateway for almost a year.He was a good friend and housemate. I miss him and I attribute his passing to the disease that I experiance as well. I grieve for your loss.

Although it's been a good 25 years since I/we have seen Matt, Mason and I considered him a good friend. We have many fond memories of our life and times at Redwood and beyond. He will be missed and our heart felt condolences go out to his family.
