Maureen, you will always be in my thoughts. Your family misses you very much. They keep your memory alive by talking about all the fun times they had while you were with us. When I hear Barry Manilow sing, I ALWAYS think of you. Love, Loretta

Maureen was part of our group starting at Ben Franklin in 8th grade then 4 more years at Westmoor. She used to love to joke around and often I was the butt of her jokes or pranks! Good natured always and all in good fun and love. 57 is much too young to pass. Though I hadn't seen Mo in several years, she has been in my mind and heart these last few days. There is a banquet I'll be attending this coming Saturday and a hearty toast will be made in your honor. God Bless you Maureen!

To the Conway/O"Rourke Families
Please accept my deepest sympathy. I first met Maureen when we were caring for her grandmother Florence Conway in our care home. I especially remember Joe Sr. coming to visit everyday as well as regular visits from Maureen and her girls and Joey.
My heart goes out to you Peggy, you will be in my thoughts and prayers

I was a regular at Towle's when Meg and Maureen ran the place. Herb Caen once wrote that the best restaurant is a good one in which you are known to the owner, and that was certainly the case here. Meg and Maureen did indeed create a community. Many a good time was had. The corner of Burlingame and Primrose hasn't been the same since. To the family and friends of Maureen: I was saddened to read that she is no longer with us. Please accept my deepest sympathy. May she live in your hearts forever.

Maureen was truly the complete package. No challenge was too daunting, and, in her capable hands, ANYTHING seemed possible. The word "can't" was never a part of her vocabulary. Mo, you were always a ray of sunshine even on a cloudy day, and I will miss you more than words can say. RIP my dear friend.

The Martin Family send our thoughts out to Kathleen, Mary and Jeannie and to all in the family who are missing Maureen. She was kind, generous, fun loving lady who always opened her home to us. Brian and I enjoyed our times at IHM-dining at Towles with Maureen always at our table. She will always live on in our hearts. With deepest sympathy.

Dear O'Rourke and Conway Family; I can't believe I won't run into to you anymore. You always had such great things to say about the kids, your sister Kathleen. We made such an amazing connection that who would know, Your Dad being my principle, Your sister already a friend and your wonderful daughter especially Jeannie who I watched when she was in kindergartner, and everyday you had a smile on your face no matter what she was going thru. There's just no words, I'm so upset to see her name in the Obits. I will not be able to attend as I'm having some health issues myself. R.I.P. MO. My thoughts, prayers and Love our with all of you.
Love,

I only met Maureen once; but I feel as though I had known her forever. I do not recall how this ever came up in the luncheon conversation; but she and I shared an admiration for Mr Manilow and I subsequently gave her his autobiography, 'Sweet Life'. I think the title pertains to her life as well. The song ' I can't smile without you' is fitting for those of us who will miss her dynamic persona.
Sincere condolences to that amazing Conway family!

When Rafael brought me around to meet his Mather and Sacred Heart pals, Maureen embraced me. We were forever Irish cousins after that. Later Maureen took care of me during one of the most heart breaking nights of my life. I will never forget her compassion and caring. Maureen was one of a kind.

Maureen, I always remember your excitement when you called to tell me that Eileen and Dan had baby Danny. We both laughed and shared the excitement of our new little package. I also remember you coming to Boston too and how much fun you made us all have whenevr we were around you. Your spirit is and was amazing. You are an inspiration to all you came in contact with! I know I feel blessed to have known you. I also know that heaven is a lucky place now that it has such a special person like you there. We will miss you but as my Grandmother always said " Till we meet again". Love to everyone in your family. No words will ever be said to share the sadness in our hearts for everyone left behind.

I remember Maureen from high school days. She was a can-do gal who juggled it all, and made it look so easy. I always remember her welcoming smile. She made you feel like you were part of her family, her very big family/community. I was so saddened to hear the news. Love from the Boston area.

I am very, very saddened to read of Maureen's passing.
We were in 8th-grade together at "Ben" in 1968, and I had a HUGE crush on her . . . and instead of telling her so, I innocently teased her, as immature little boys so often do.
I have often thought of her over the years, and wondered where she was, and what she was doing . . . and that it would be a fun and nice thing to do to contact her again just to say, "sorry for the teasing, it was because I liked you" . . . but not knowing her married name, I couldn't find her.
She was a good and genuine heart, and I am so, so sad to finally find out now, in this way, where she is, and what she had been through with her illness
. . . rest in peace, sweet Maureen

Our family is so sad to hear about Mo's passing. Towles was our home away from home, and Maureen and Meg always made sure our boys were well fed. Burlingame has truly lost an angel. With love, The Baylocks: Cathy, Joe, AJ and Nick
