Michael Isaacs Obituary
August 30, 1937 - September 18, 2022
We mourn the loss of Michael S. Isaacs, beloved and devoted father, grandfather, and friend. Michael grew up in North Bergen, NJ, attended Cornell University, and graduate school at Case Western and NYU. Having spent the first part of his career as a lawyer, he followed his passion and became a dedicated therapist. He loved people, and had a deep and eclectic spiritual life that included meditation, eastern philosophy, Judaism, mysticism, and Tai Chi. He found joy through music, reading, writing, and walking. He cherished his beautiful and wise wife of 53 years, Faith. While he will be deeply missed by Elana, Nora, Eric, Lucian and Ezra, and many other friends and family, his sense of humor, compassion, and spirit will live on in those who loved him.

I am a New York lawyer friend of Michael.
We met in 1975 when I needed a New Jersey lawyer for a real estate matter and the firm that I was working for in New City, NY recommended this "kid."
He always looked much younger than his age.
We became good friends and were socially friendly. Just as Michael and I bonded so did my wife, Ellen, and Faith.
Michael had keen insight and judgment and sought his guidance on many issues.
We usually called each other on our respective birthdays so tonight being his birthday I tried to reach out to him only to discover the sad news about him and Faith.
We had met Elena and Nora at a party at their condo in NJ.
I would so much appreciate it if one of you would contact me.

So sorry to hear of Michael´s passing. Such memories brought by the beautiful photograph you have selected. He was a dear friend to my mother Dorothy and an older cousin who I remember with much fondness. My husband Todd and I spent a lovely afternoon with Michael and Faith about 5 years years ago in their apartment across from Whole Foods when we were visiting Berkeley; both of them always gracious and filled with a spirit that left you feeling better for being in their presence. Without doubt, one of the best couples around. May they both rest in peace. Our love and deepest sympathy to the family on this very sad occasion.
