Michael Scanlon Obituary
November 22, 1950 ~ January 30, 2021
Michael is predeceased by his parents, James and Mary, as well as his brother James Scanlon.
Michael Scanlon is survived by his wife of 45 years, Cathy, her parents William and Rose Atkins, his daughters Vanessa, Britney, her husband Juan Lainez, and Lindsay, as well as his seven grandchildren Aurelia, Isabel, Angelina, Nevaeh, Gianna, Gabriella, and Landon. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Debbie, Cheryl, Liz, Cheri, and brothers-in-law Bill, Dennis, and Wayne.
Michael was a life-long resident of San Francisco and a loyal 49ers fan. You could always find him blasting the classics, traveling with his wife and good friends, grilling for his family, and riding his Harley on long road trips with Dennis. He will be deeply and forever missed by his family and friends.

When I think of Mike, I think of camp de sabla. When I think of Mike I think of kindness.
Mike, men like myself aspire to hopefully become at least half the man you are, because not many people on this earth can come close to reach your level of greatness. Cathy, Lindsey, Britney, and Vanessa. My sincerest condolences. My heart and prayers go out to you.

So sorry to hear Michael passed away. Our families were close friends growing up in the Noe Valley. Have many fond memories of his youth. My sympathy to Cathy and all his family.

Mike will be missed greatly , we all enjoyed working with at Caltrans . I’ve worked with Mike for over 10yrs he was one of my best coworkers . RIP Mikey !!
