I know I'm a year late, but hope it isn't too late to express my condolences. I was Mike's roommate in the 70's and knew Shona when she was a young girl. Every lovely thing said about Mike is true. I was hoping to get in touch with him after all these years and was saddened to find that he passed away last year. I'm deeply sorry.

Jim and Marilyn (Young) Armstrong were school classmates of Michael. It was a pleasure to be his friends. We send our deepest sympathy to his family.

To all whom Mike embraced in family, I grieve for your loss. And mine. Mike was my first-ever “fellow” through the AFP-GGC Mentor Program. It was 1992. At the time he was Development Officer at the Community Music Center. He remained a friend ever after, very dear to me, even if we did not see each other often. He was a prince.
