After several years of struggling with dementia, Mufeed Droubi, age 87 of San Francisco, CA passed away on September 6, 2023.
Mufeed was born in Homs, Syria and came to the United States in 1959 to continue his education, graduating from University of California, Berkeley, with a degree in Engineering.
He had a career in engineering and real estate. He was a fabulous cook, preparing Middle Eastern cuisine for family and friends. He loved walks and hikes, be it in the neighborhood or Swiss Alps. Morning coffee at San Francisco's many cafes to read the Chron or solve the world's problems with friends was another ritual enjoyed. He loved his large family and reunions with lots of good food and lively political discussions. Mufeed took pleasure in being well dressed. After retirement, he took an interest in technology using his computer skills to handle finances and investments.
Mufeed was a loving and affectionate husband to his wife, Pam Droubi, his two daughters and their husbands, Lamisse Droubi and Steve Holman; Christina Droubi Cook and Rick Cook, and grandchildren Nyla Holman, Hayes Holman, and Caitlyn Cook. He was kind, calm, gentle, and composed. Mufeed will be deeply missed and remembered with love.
