Nancy Capelli Obituary
October 27, 1931 - March 9, 2024
Nancy passed away at a young 92 years of age, in her home. She was with family and friends.
She had an infectious laugh, a beautiful smile, and an impeccable style. Born in Napa, Calif., then moved to San Francisco. Her parents were Florence and John Cecil Barnes. She graduated from Lincoln High School.
Nancy won "Miss Legs" of San Mateo County. With her outgoing personality, she became an icon food demonstrator all over the Bay Area.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Tina Capelli Crabtree, and son, Johnnie Capelli; her grandchildren, Ronnie Crabtree, Vanessa Minahan, and husband, Mike Minahan, and Gina Gendotti Pleva; her great-granddaughters, Alexis and Emma Minahan, and Lorraine Hatvik, her adopted daughter, and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Predeceased by John Capelli, her husband of 72 years, and daughter, Paula Capelli Gendotti.
In honor of Nancy, you are welcome to wear "bling shoes or leopard apparel."
Services will be held at Crippen & Flynn Carlmont Chapel, at 1111 Alameda de las Pulgas, in Belmont, Calif., on March 28, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow.
