Nancy Elsner Obituary

Nancy May Elsner
July 14, 1926 - December 28, 2023
Nancy May Elsner was born, July 14, 1926 in Los Angeles, Calif., to Max and May Elsner. She passed away peacefully December 28, 2023 in Sparks, Nev.
Nancy loved to travel, beginning with her move to Yugoslavia and Lebanon in the 1950s to work for the Foreign Service. After returning to the United States, she lived and worked most of her life in San Francisco, Calif. She traveled the world making lifelong friends along the way. She also loved the opera, symphony and bird watching. Stowe Lake in Golden Gate Park was a favorite spot where she would stroll and watch the blue heron.
Nancy was an avid genealogist. She spent many years tracing her Buddington family roots back to the mid-17th century in Groton, Conn.
Nancy was a registered parliamentarian. She was a member of the National Association of Parliamentarians, the California Association of Parliamentarians, and the Northern California Unit Sigma Phi where she served as the president and mentor to many members over the years. She traveled the country acting as parliamentarian for a variety of organizations and would often spend extra time exploring the cities to which she traveled.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father; mother; sister, brother; and sister-in-law. She is survived by three generations of nieces and nephews who gathered together last July in Sparks, Nev., to help her celebrate her 97th birthday.
Rest in peace, Aunt Nancy. We love you.
