Olga Rafferty Obituary

Olga K. Rafferty, 97, of Medford, OR, passed away on April 13, 2025, at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center from a heart failure.
She was born on February 18, 1928, in Forestville, CT, daughter of Mitro and Eva Komanetsky. Olga graduated from Bristol High School, CT, then worked at Humason Manufacturing and Pratt & Whitney, CT. She was married to the love of her life, John Wilson Rafferty, of Hartford CT, for 68 years.
Olga was a loving mother dedicated to her family. As well, she worked as a model, executive secretary and receptionist in legal, pharmaceutical and medical systems firms. She retired from the Alza Corporation in Palo Alto, CA in 1991. She enjoyed her jobs and being the initial contact for clients, always smartly dressed, charming and helpful to all.
She is survived by her children, daughters Colleen Rafferty and husband Norman Beres, Cheryl Rafferty, and son Gary Rafferty and wife Barbara Rafferty, three step-grandchildren, John Haines, Kristin Beres and Lisa Tholen and three step-great grandchildren, Lily Haines, Leo Tholen and Sophie Tholen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Rafferty, her son John Rafferty Jr., sister Victoria Mafale, and brothers Paul, Dimitry, Antone and Harry Komanetsky.
Olga will be buried at the Eagle Point National Cemetery, OR at a private family memorial.

Thank you for your kind words regarding my mother's passing. I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing . She was a lovely, sweet lady, and I am sure you are missing her as I am doing my mom. Take comfort that our moms are at peace in a better place. God bless you all.

Condolences to the family from a 98 yr old cousin of John from CT. Olga was a lovely woman; we have been out of touch for a long time, but I have pleasant memories of her. God bless.
