Born in Nicaragua to Pablo Silva Moran and Margarita Re. He came to SF at 16 and served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked at PG&E as a Land Surveyor. He married Vilma Rocha on July 27, 1960 and settled into Noe Valley to raise their four daughters. His passion was music and singing. He is survived by his beloved wife, Vilma; daughters: Virginia Tapia (James); Marlene Malatesta (Michael Ahern); Pauline Noya (Joseph); Margaret Silva-Re; and four grandchildren: Jennifer and Christopher Malatesta and Christine and Allison Tapia. .To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
