Patricia Alana Hanscom
June 3, 1931- June 23, 2021
Pat Hanscom of Berkeley Ca spent her final days comfortably and knowing she was loved by her family and friends. She passed away peacefully on the morning of June 23rd 2021 at her home Belrose House at the age of 90. She was born in Chicago June 3rd 1931.
Pat had many passions and all who knew her were touched by the experience. Her life had many interesting chapters and she lived each to the fullest. She was married to Dr Robert Hanscom in 1960 and was widowed after an amazing, adventurous marriage in 1998. They raised 2 sons Jim and John and were blessed with three grandchildren Kayla Ryan and Alexandria. She was a rock for the family and we will dearly miss her, but know she would want us to move forward with joy that she had a life well lived and the lessons she taught will carry through the generations.
Pat was known to be ready to volunteer and help where needed. She supported the Berkeley Repertory Theatre, was a member of the Claremont book club, active in the Berkeley business community as co-owner of Eugenes Antiques and the proprieter of Belrose House Bed and Breakfast. She loved to do international house exchanges where she could experience the local culture she especially loved going to London to find antiques. Pat loved her Chronicle, the New Yorker, Shirley Temple movies, Carlos Santana, Jazz clubs, heading to SF for lunch with Robert H, throwing parties, dancing and so much more. Patty H will forever dance on in our hearts

We invite you to celebrate Pat's life and share your own stories about her. She wouldn't want people to cry or dress in black, so wear your finest apparel and join our family to toast this fabulous, classy woman.

Please come tell your uplifting stories, enjoy some live jazz, beverages, and light hors d'oeuvres. Then join us for a New Orleans style jazz parade around her beloved neighborhood, just like she always wanted!
