Patrick Carlin Obituary
Devoted father to Jerilyn Carlin-Mobley and Fred Mobley, James Carlin (deceased), Helen and Ron Dumont, Kelley and Chris Ravanal, Ann Margaret Rohrs, Patrick and Maureen Carlin, and Jeffrey and Lisa Carlin.
He was the loving Papa to Amy and Jeff Gherardi, Joseph and Nicole Aceto, Jamie and Jory Sandeen, Fred Mobley (Janida Penn), Dewey Dumont (Katie Kobayashi), Meaghan Carlin (Zach Malloy), Catie Dumont, Bridget Carlin (Tyler Shaver), James Ravanal, Buddy Carlin, Charlie Rohrs, Elizabeth Ravanal, Rori and Delaney Carlin; and great-grandson's Will, Jack, and Tony Gherardi.
Loving and supportive brother to Charles (deceased). Survived by Dennis Carlin and family, Sean Carlin (nephew) and loving cousins too numerous to name.
He is also survived by his sister in law LaVerne (Frank, deceased) Stahlnecker and family as well as Fran (Pete, deceased) Lawrence and many nieces, nephews and loving friends.
Bud was a native San Franciscan; attended St. Cecilia's School, received his driver's license at age 14, graduated from Sacred Heart and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was active in St Cecilia's Men's Club and Sacred Heart High School Alumni. He was a 48 year member of Operating Engineers Local 3 and was active in their retiree's group.
He had a lifelong love of the Russian River and swam every chance he got. He loved his Irish roots, the San Francisco 49ers and all the boys from Fahey's who went to games together at Candlestick.
Above all else he loved his family. Whether it was dinners on Vicente Street or sitting on Johnsons Beach, nothing made him happier than when we were all together. His quiet strength will be greatly missed.
Friends and family may call Wednesday July 29, 2015 after 6:30PM at St. Cecilia's Church, where a vigil will be offered at 7:30 PM and are invited to the Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11:00AM. Committal at Holy Cross Cemetary.
Donations in his name may be made to Sacred Heart Cathedral Development Fund.

Everybody calls you Bud now, but "Scratchy" will always be how I remember you, from that moment you literally "fell" into my life 70 years ago on our ski trip. Our families have retained our friendship and it is wonderful how life goes on. Johnson's Beach and Surrey Inn are a nice part of our memories. Happy you and Pat are together again.
