Pedro Pons Obituary
Pedro put his family first in every respect. He was lovingly and devotedly supported in this pursuit for nearly 70 years by the love of his life, Annie. Born and raised in Guatemala, Pedro was educated at the École des Hautes Études, Université de Montréal. It was there he learned the value of education and of life in Canada and the United States. Moving from Guatemala to San Francisco, he sought to provide his young family a better future. Education was of utmost importance in his own life and consequently he took immense pride in the schooling and achievements of his children and grandchildren.
Outside his work, his greatest passions were working his garden and traveling the world, both with his family and in his later years with his Annie.
His love and generosity to his family, and his unwavering Catholic faith, were truly inspirational. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family will celebrate a Memorial Mass at the Chapel of the Convent of the Sisters of Perpetual Adoration, San Francisco.

Pedro Pons was the Godfather for me, my twin brother Ron and much later in life, he was the Godfather to my daughter Gina Marie.
I needed some money for books and tuition for SF State University while I waited for my school loan to come through. He loaned me the money without hesitation and I paid him back before I promised that I would. Trivia - it is because of my Padrino Pedro that I developed an interest in his beloved hobby of HO Scale Model Railroading.
