I knew Phil n Kim Sleeper for years in the mid 80's n early 90' , n even went 2 Lincoln with his wife Kim. I knew Phil by dating his niece Carla for 8 yrs we kept our ski boat n toys up @ the farm on witter springs n even husked, dried n harvested walnuts on the 50 acre ranch from time 2 time n get 2 work on the farm after our Vigourous skiing n wake boarding weekends. Im truly saddened 2 hear of Phils passing. Even 2day just by luck im in Upper Lake with my girl n dog saw the witter springs sign pulled over 2 look n see if he was home, then found this out. I'm sorry 4 rambling but Phil was the brother I never had n the most loyal GENUINE SF DUDE I EVER KNEW. I HOPE 2 SEE U SOME DAY BROTHER BUT NOT YET! Many miles 2 go B4 this Sunset DUDE 's time 2 SLEEP!Peace 2 your wife Kim n grown children n family, Kacy Hanson 49ers

I've known Phil for years, going back to our Sunset Recreation days and then working with him at the SF Recreation and Park Department.
It was a pleasure knowing him and I am saddened by his passing. Phil always had an easy laugh and a great sense of humor. My deepest condolences to his family. Phil's name will always bring a kind smile and and many funny remembrances.

I loved Phil. He was my brother and my first close friend in SF and the US. I miss him today more than ever. Nico.
