Regina Anne Devine

Regina Anne Devine nee Fegan passed away on the morning of February 12, 2021, joining her beloved husband, Joe (2019); and her beloved son Kevin (2007); and her precious grandchild, Ryan (2010). Jeannie, as she was affectionately known, was born December 25, 1924 to Fred and Margaret Fegan. She was a proud child of San Francisco and would talk of her days that were spent roller skating the concrete hills of Eureka Valley and playing with her best friend and cousin, Claire Holl neeMcGlenon, out at the beach. They would stow away in the jump seat of a model T belonging to one of the many uncles that kept an eye on the girls. Jeannie was a loving mom to Denise (Erik, deceased), the late Kevin (Mary Anne), Regina (Ron, deceased) Joe (Sue), Brian (Glenn), Dan (Tara) and Jacqui Devine. She was a warm grandmother to Dawn and Garret (Katie) Lucier, Brian (Rebecca), John (Lisa) Erin (Brian) DeForest, Kevin, Joey, the late Ryan, Brendan, Sean, Christopher (Amy), Theresa, Alyssa (Taylor), Michael Devine and Marcus (Laurie) Alm. Great-grandma to: Jack, Tatum and Cooper Lucier, Jimmy, Jack, Jake, Tommy, Danny Devine and Joey DeForest.

Jeannie traveled the world with her partner, love, and devoted husband of 74 years, Joe. He referred to her as his first mate, but she was definitely the Captain of the family. She was an influential matriarch of the family and she led by example. Jeannie bought and sold homes often on her own when Joe was away at sea.She was direct when she believed she knew better and more often than not, Jeannie was right.As a Christmas baby, Christmas day was reserved as "her" day and the family celebrated the holiday on Christmas Eve. Jeannie was proud of graduating from St. Brigid's High School where she learned to be an avid reader. A cool and confident card player, she taught her children Whist and Gin Rummy to which she mostly won.
Memorial mass will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 11:00 am at The Holy Rosary Chapel at St. Vincent's School for Boys. In lieu of flowers please send donations to St. Vincent's School for Boys, 1 Saint Vincent Dr. San Rafael, CA 94901
