Richard Donohue Obituary

Richard J. Donohue passed peacefully in his sleep on December 16, 2024. He maintained his positive attitude and kind demeanor to the very end and now joins his wife in eternal rest.
Born and raised in San Francisco to Charles Donohue & Ann Taheny, Richard was a lifelong SF resident. He was a devoted husband of 62 years to Jeannine, and dedicated postal worker for 43 years. He religiously attended Saint Anne's Novenas since early childhood, and was a faithful member of the Knights of Columbus. Most of all he was an authentic family man who enjoyed sharing his gifts with family and community alike.
Richard's joy was pure and simple - he took pleasure in sharing his kindness with others. No matter the circumstance, he always had a genuine smile - one we will cherish forever because he cared so much and touched our hearts deeply!
Preceded in death by his sister Claire (2009), brother Charles (2014), and wife Jeannine (2024), and survived by his beloved family.
Children: Annmarie (Rich) Przybyszewski, Michael (Fran) Donohue, and Joseph (Tyra) Donohue. Grandchildren: Shelly Donohue, Jennifer (Nick) Teal, Brian (Emily) Donohue, Eric and Gabrielle Przybyszewski. Great-grandchild: Lucy Teal.
Memorial services Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Star of the Sea Church in San Francisco, 9:30 am Viewing/Rosary, 10:00 am Funeral mass.
