Richard Frohman Obituary

FROHMAN, Dr. Richard B., M.D. - Dr. Frohman passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home on Dec. 7, 2005 at the age of 79. Rich was born in Portland, Oregon to Anson B. Frohman and Marian P. Frohman. Rich was married to Bobbie Frohman for 49 years and leaves four beautiful children: Lance, Lynda, Lyle and Lee. His sister, Mary Cohen, who resides in New York State, also survives him. Rich attended Reed College and The University Of Oregon Medical School. He interned at Santa Clara County Hospital in San Jose and started his residency training in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Colorado in Denver and finished at UCSF. Rich practiced Orthopedic Surgery in San Mateo for 45 years and is remembered fondly by all who crossed his path as a gentle man with a joke always close and a smile for all. His patients welcomed his warm and caring bedside manner. Rich's loves were family, the California Golf Club of which he was a member for 39 years, his woodworking shop, his many hands of bridge and his many friends who enjoyed all these activities with him. Cremation was handled by the Neptune Society and Memorial services will be held at a later time. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
