Richard Noriyuki Kishimoto of South S.F. passed away on December 10, 2022, at a Care Home in Vancouver, Wa. Born on February 5, 1939 in Hilo, Hi, he was a graduate of Hilo, High School, class of 1957. Richard attended University of Hawaii in Honolulu, and Clark College in Vancouver, Wa. He enlisted into The Army Reserves at the age of 17, and retired 46 years later as a Sargent Major E-9. He worked in Portland, Oregon for Xerox Corporation for 23 years, working his way up to Service Manager. Richard was appointed by the Clark County Commissioner for a seat as a State Representative 49th District in Washington in 1972, where he served 2 years. In 1986 he moved to S.F. Ca. to work at the San Francisco Advertiser and worked his way up to General Manager. His musical talents have been shared and enjoyed by countless audiences through out the Pacific Northwest, Hawaii, Reno, Canada, and California for the past 50 years. He also sang the National Anthem both at Pac Bell Park and Candlestick Park for the Giants. Richard is survived by, daughters Kimberly Lum-Perreira (George) of Hilo, Hi., Cindy Chidester (Mike) of Vancouver, Wa. Brother Roger Kishimoto (Michelle) of San Mateo, Ca. Grandfather of 8, and Great Grandfather of 5, numerous nephews and nieces.
Celebration of Life will be held on March 25th, 2023 at Sierra View Memorial Park 4900 Olive Ave, Olivehurst, Ca. 95961, Service begins at 1:00 p.m.
