Oh no. I just found out. My close friend Bob Adamich lived in the top unit of Richard's building until Bob passed away in 2017. Bob knew Richard for more than 60ys. Richard love gardening, especially in his back yard and at the Potrero Hill community garden.

Richard had an amazing long life. Whenever I came to San Fransisco he was so kind and thoughtful. The first time I met him I was with my family in 1963. I was 16 and my mother and Richard were first cousins and wanted to connect. We had driven across the country and San Fransisco was one stop. He showed us around his wonderful city and his enthusiasm was infective. Another special time was 2001 when he attended my son's graduation from Stanford. I will miss his stories, seeing his dogs and just being with family and remembering. Nov. 2018 picture

Richard had an amazing life and when I visited in the area I saw him and he was so kind and helpful. The first time was with my family. We drove from Ohio. It was 1963. I was 16 and it was the first time I had been in San Fransisco. He loved showing us around his wonderful city. One other special time was when he attended my son's graduation from Stanford in 2001. I know how much he cared for and appreciated his friends. I will miss him.
