Its hard to believe how much time has past since Richs passing . I will forever be thankful that after a lifetime of years we were able to reconnect in Pismo Beach . I still laugh thinking of while at City College in SF, we were at a concert , bleachers collapsed, had to take Joey L, and myself to hospital by ambulance and Rich of course had to ride along and go so excited when we went past Mission HS, he was trying to wave at friends . Always in my heart ❤

To all of Rich's Family,

I worked with Rich at PG&E for many years at 18th and Shotwell.

I enjoyed working with him. He helped me with my resume for

my first Management Position. I'm

sorry that my wife Madeline and I

did not attend the service for Rich

because we were not aware of Rich's

passing until after. He was a great friend and co-worker and will

be greatly missed.

We share your sorrow, Paul and Madeline Velasco

Tony,Lisa & Family,

I was so saddened to hear the news of your Dad, brother and friend. My heart and thoughts are with you. He was so proud of you and always spoke of you. I met Rich after he bought the house in Graton, and he became a very special friend to me, as he did with so many people. Always a smile and his love to tease. Rich you will be so missed, yet never forgotten and you will always be an inspiration.

To Tony and Lisa and all of Rich's family and friends. We have truely lost one of the great ones. I met Rich at Portola and that started a long and beautiful friendship. We had so many good times it's hard to count them. We had true fun. For many years we saw each other almost everyday. We went to the beach, we went to parties. we went to rock concerts and just about did everything that was being done back then. He was also in my wedding. His parents were wonderful people and they were good to me. His brother Steve also became a good friend of mine. Now he is with God. I look forward to seeing you in Heaven Rich. You were a great friend to me and you were loved by Oh! so many that got to know you. You will truely be remembered and missed by all of us that new you buddy. So long "Spud"

The passing of Rich weakens the fabric of our being. He was a good guy when I first met him (at Bal 60') and good guys like him don't change. Pass the ball Rich!

Although my family & I are in Sedona,Arizona when we recieved the news of Rich's passing, he will always be with us, and remembered for being such a unique person. Rich had a very rare quality of having anyone he came in contact with like him almost immediately, not only would people like to be around him,but it had a very lasting effect on us also. I personally feel that the loss of Rich will create a void in many of our hearts, but that same open space will become a very special spot where only the feelings & memories many of us have shared with and of Rich will be able to remain, and allow all of us to mentally visit that spot for the refreshment of those cherished memories.

Dear Tony,Lisa, and family that Rich loved and enjoyed spending so much time with. We met at CCSF, our first double date was when the bleachers collapsed and Rich and Lynn Arsanis road to the hospital by ambulance with Joey Lucido and myself.I was so very fortunate that after all these years he tracked me down in Pismo Beach...what a detective. We laughed and shared many memories about people like Johnny and Sal Cefalu, Glenn Arbasett,Steve DeMartini and of course Joey Lucido. What fun we all had. Over the past two years we were able to spend some time together and as of late just by phone and e-mail.I will always think of Rich as "BMOC"(Big Man On Campus).with his big heart, big smile, big love for family and friends and his enthusiasm to live his life with purpose. He will be missed by all. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you, and to you my dearest Rich, you are now out of pain and at peace. Huggs and Kisses!Lovingly, Vickie (Chapman) Del Colletti.

Dearest Rich,

When I was a young lady in high school, you were one of my very favorite classmates. As I told you in our emails, you were not only one of the cutest guys, but also one of the very nicest. Always a pleasure to be with. No wonder you were so darn popular in school. (Not to mention the football player, too!)

In reading your Guest Book, I can see that you never changed, that many people loved and cared about you. One can also see the love within your family.

I hope you realized in your lifetime how you touched people.

God Bless You, Richard R. Spadini

Dear Tony & Lisa. I wanted to express my sympathies on the passing of your father. Loosing a loved one is never easy, even when we think we are prepared. It's like waiting for that other shoe to drop - we know it's going to happen, just not when. And when it finally does...well here you are. I'm priviledged to have know Rich and call him friend. In grammer school I even called him boyfriend. We attended Hillcrest, Portola, and Balboa together. At our 40th reunion we were able to reminisce and catch up on old times. He was quite a guy and spoke fondly of his children. He will be missed, but never forgotten. God bless both of you.

Dear Tony and Lisa: I just wanted you to know how much I thought of your Dad and what a wonderful man he was. We knew each other at Balboa but were never particularly close. He was our high school football hero! At our 40th reunion, we talked extensively and he told me all about his cancer. He told me how he made his peace with God and accepted what was to be and that he had a wonderful life and was ready to go when God called him. What a strong man! Since that time, we have been e-mail buddies almost on a weekly or even more than weekly basis along with our friend, Roseann. Both Roseann and I felt privileged to have him keep in touch with us all this time. He was probably so weak getting to that computer but he always made the effort to answer back. He was so happy towards the end of his "journey" when he was able to find his childhood friends and reunite with them, John Cefalu, DeMartini and Steve Cavelini who all lived on Colby St. in the Excelsior. Your dad was one of the nicest men I know and always had that big, bright smile that is in the paper I see on the Internet tonight. It is with a heavy heart we have to now say our good-byes, although I believe his last note to me was telling me good-bye between the lines. It saddens me to know when I open my emails there will be no more from Spud009, a very dear man and friend the past three years. May your many happy memories with him through the years carry you through the rough waters ahead. Tony, thank you so much for talking to Roseann and me the other night for so long and keeping us abreast of things. I'm glad he found an "angel" here on earth to watch over and care for him. May God be with you all. Lovingly, Claudine (Shuey) Minasian
