I grew up with Richard since 8th grade. I loved Richard from the first day I met him. We were really good friends thru our most challenging years. Richard was my date at my junior prom at Downtown High, I went w/Richard to his prom at Washington. I also noticed the video. Well I was also one of his favortie dance partners. We loved to dance! Richard was amazing! I only wish I could have been with you all as you celebrated his life. What a shining star! If I can find the photo's I would love to send to his family. If this message is read by Richards family, please contact Elaine Lubinski. My email: [email protected] - I leave in NY and just heard the news a little too late. God Bless the family of Richard and know that he was very loved by friends from the past... I will miss him and charish the memories we made together. I am the one in the video (dance partner) God Bless you all. Elaine Lubinski-Garza

My condolences to the family...

I was just talking with Sue about a lot of funny memories I had with Richard when we used to spend most of our time together. I have so many great memories, and even though I didn't spend time with him in our adult years, I always held these fond memories of him. He is always a live in my heart.

I'm sure he was greeted with so much love in reuniting with Jim and his father.

Love to all of you... Cindy (Baker) Eyler

My condolences to the family. What a surprise it was when my friend Jim introduced me to his partner! I had gone to school with Sid and knew Suzie. What a bright light they were together. I hope you find peace.

Our condolences to Adele, and all the family on your loss. The loving care and support that you give to Richard when he needed you was inspiring to any mother who has had to go through such pain. May God's blessings uphold you as you learn to go on knowing that you took care of your son until you could release him to Heaven.

Uncle Richard was a cool uncle. I remember stories of his dancing skills, admiring his suave sense of style and looks! I hadn't seen him in a while since he was in Vegas, but I was praying for him. May you be happy now.

May my cousin Richard's soul rest in peace and finally be reunited with his partner Jim who made his heart sing... I will miss his very giving heart and his unconventional wit he had toward me. I know he is up there with his uncle Bud and my dog Jake toasting with a gin and tonic in hand. I will miss you deeply and remember all the good times we shared growing up and working at MainLine...

I remember Richard and Elaine dancing during those Disco days. They would tear up the floor and leave everyone behind. He was such a beautiful dancer. Then later when I'd stop in at Mainline, he'd make me feel so welcome, always greeting with his electrifying smile. Such a kind person, such a sweet soul. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

My memories of Richard are from the Disco days when Richard went to prom with my friend Elaine. They were dance partners and would enter and often win dance contests all over SF. What a wonderful soul and smile, he was always smiling when he was dancing. That's what I remember about him most.
Condolences to his family and loved ones

April 11, 2010

Again our most profound condolences to the Urbiztondo family on the passing of a cherished loved one. We are so deeply sorry to hear of this loss of my nephew, Richard, and know no words can help ease the sorrow , but hopefully, with our prayers we can help a little bit to ease your pains and sufferings. We can now hope his pains are forgotten and there's a place in Heaven that has his favorite slot machines and high roller privileges riding with his partner, Jim, in a white-stretch limousine. May his soul rest in peace.
