My sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Edwin Dade. Although it has been many years since I had seen Edwin, I was saddened to learn of his sudden passing and the impact it has on his family. I, too, was one who grew up in Hidden Valley in Lafayette in the early 1950's and the Dade family were special friends. John was my age, Edwin a year older, and Margaret younger. I knew their mother, Kitty, well and their special aunt, Margie, as well as both of their step fathers. Hidden Valley was a small community with many special bonds of friendship and caring...and Edwin was a treasured part of that community.
