Robert Edward Dade

Robert Edward Dade March 9, 1944 - January 8, 2008 Resident of Danville Ed Dade of Danville passed away suddenly on Tuesday in San Ramon. Born on March 9, 1944 in Mineola, NY, Ed graduated from Acalanes High School, Chico State University, and served honorably as a captain in the United States Army for four years. He was a successful contractor and business owner for 37 years and had recently retired. Ed enjoyed boating with family and friends and was a member of the Benicia Yacht Club. He is survived by his devoted wife Margaret; five children, Rob, Bryanne (Jeremy), Michael (Debbie), Patrick, and Brendan (Crystal); three grandchildren, Samantha, Declan, and Abigail. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Kitty Dade, and stepfathers, Jack Scarlet and John Conroy. Ed is also survived by his brother John; sister, Margo (Bob); brothers-in-law, Seamus (Tula), Maurice, Patrick and Richard (Colleen); sister-in-law, Mary (Eamon); mother-in-law, Alice O'Reilly and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by the many friends who shared many happy times with him. A Memorial Service will be held at Community Presbyterian Church, 222 W El Pintado Rd. in Danville on Friday, January 11th, 10:30 am.
