Dedication, Competence, and Loyalty are virtues that describe the many qualities of Bob Granucci. Bob was a yearly retreatant on the Legal Profession Retreat at El Retiro, Los Altos. Bob was solid in his Catholic faith and Jesuit Education that made him an inspiration to many. May Bob rest in the eternal embrace of our loving God.

I got to know Bob through the Knights of Malta. On one of our trips to Lourdes, he had returned to the bus early, and I shortly thereafter. I sat down next to him and we had the first of our many wonderful conversations over the next 9 years. I was at the University of Southern California and was building a research Institute at USC designed to serve the intellectual and spiritual apostolates of the Catholic Church worldwide. He loved the idea and funded a fellowship in honor of John Henry Newman, not saint and doctor of the Church. We had many conversations at his home in San Francisco and often walked to a nearby neighborhood Italian restaurant for dinner. Robert was a lovely, smart, generous, deeply thoughtful man of the Church and the law. May he rest in peace! James Heft, S.M.

My name is also Robert Granucci. I am a Retired attorney and cousin to the deceased
I followed his career for years and as a young attorney often asked how I could have a practice of law in Sacramento and work at the same time for the Attorney Generals office.

Bob's name was on every Appellate brief I saw filed from the Attorney General's Office for decades. He had a great reputation. Hope he is enjoying meeting the lawyer saints in heaven.

In gratitude for the life of Mr Granucci, a true Catholic gentleman. "Blessed are they who die in the Lord. May they rest in the Lord, for their good works go with them." Rev 14:13. Requiem aeternam dona ei, Domine.

I met Bob more than 45 years ago when I was a student at USF Law School and he was a terrific Moot Court Judge. At the time I only had an inkling of his intellectual prowess, but over time I came to regard him as a lion the (appelate) court room. His record speaks for itself. It was always a pleasure to see Bob at St. Thomas More Society events and, later, through the Order of Malta. I will miss him.
