Bob passed away peacefully on May 29th, 2022 in Roseville, CA from complications due to Diabetes. He was a devoted and loving husband to Claudia, his wife of 60 years. Cherished father to Denise Shaffer (Dave), Michael McCullough and Brian McCullough. He was a loving Papa to grandson, Zachary Shaffer. He is also survived by his brother Richard McCullough and sister-in-law Jan Newman. Predeceased by his parents, Robert McCullough and Evelyn McCullough Feykert, brother-in-law Chuck Newman and sister-in-law Leigh McCullough.
Bob was a proud San Francisco native and was born on May 8th, 1937 at St. Joseph's hospital. He grew up in the Excelsior and was a proud graduate of Balboa High School, class of 1955. Bob became an electrician and worked in this trade for over 35 years, the majority with Lera Electric. He also worked on the Alaska Pipeline in 1976. Bob and Claudia raised their family in Pacifica and he spent many years coaching for the Pacifica National Little League. He loved horse racing, the San Francisco Giants and 49ers. He was a 49er season ticket holder for many years at Candlestick Park and attended three victorious 49er Super Bowls. He loved watching sports with his children and grandson.
In 2002, Bob and Claudia retired to Rocklin, CA. He kept busy golfing, gardening, traveling and practicing photography. His favorite things were watching Zachary play sports, food, sharing stories and family parties. He will be missed by his family, many relatives and friends.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial mass at SS Peter and Paul Church, 4450 Granite Drive, Rocklin, CA, 95677 on Friday, July 29th at 11:00am.
