San Francisco dentist for thirty-five years, died on August 10 at the age of sixty-five.
Ronald graduated from Washington High School, UC Davis and UOP Dental School, later teaching at UOP and Indiana University. Respected in the dental community, Ronald pioneered techniques now standard in children's dentistry. He was the eldest son of Edward and Susan Mack, devoted husband to Janet, brother of Bruce and Kevin (Mary Ellen), father of Joshua (Keslie) and grand-father of Aleah, Kiryn and Nili. Ronald was predeceased by his son, Aaron. Donations in his memory may be made to the Dugoni School of Dentistry.
May his memory be for a blessing.

We will both miss Ron's cheerful smile and fun personality. We all have lost a wonderful friend and dental colleague. We will always remember "Ace Ventura" and the Pedo Proms where Ron was the dancing star! Our heartfelt sympathy to Janet and his family.

At Arthur Dugoni School of Dentistry I worked on many projects with Ron. He was always upbeat and cheerful, the perfect demeanor for Pediatric work. He was always calm and pursuasive, never demanding. I wonder how many people knew that his smooth, authoritative announcer voice had been utilized on several radio shows over the years?

Ron's passing is a shock and brings great sadness to my entire family. Ron was a childhood friend all through high school; I was a bridesmaid in his wedding; his father was my dentist; Ron was my children and grandchildren's dentist. His parents were wonderful, as well. We will miss his warmth and humor so very much. God speed Ron to a special resting place. Much love from Penny, Ken, Shannen and Samantha and families.

Ron pioneered the "electrosurgical pulpotomy" and he was always eager to share information on this technique. He was one of the nicest guys I ever met. Many of us at the Dugoni School of Dentistry, University of the Pacific will be stunned to read this news. I feel so sorry for his devoted wife.
