Rose Gomez Obituary

GOMEZ, Rose A. Wallen - Born January 2, 1924. Raised in Upham, ND by Charles and Perlinda Hussey. Came to California in the early 40's, married James J. Gill and raised three devoted children Judy, Jerrie, and Michael. In the early 60's she married Eugene J. Gomez and had two sons, Darrell and Gregory while living in Hillsborough, CA. In 1975 she purchased another home in Concord, CA where she became a successful and accomplished real estate agent winning many awards. In 1990 she was honored as "Godmother of Concord" by the city of Concord for opening her home and heart to many struggling teens who have become successful as a result of her kindness and love. She is survived by six of her ten siblings, her sisters Clara, Beulah, Myrtle, Florence, and Lucille and brother Sonny Hussey; daughters-in-law, Cathy and CuCu Rose, and granddaughter-in-law, Marie. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren Jimmy Bowen, John and Laura La Rosa, Veronica, Kevin, and Brandon Gill, Luke and Brad Gomez, and six great-grandchildren and devoted granddaughter-in-law, Tammy Bowen. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at 2:30PM at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma. "Mommy you will be missed and our hearts are always with you."
