Rose Williams Obituary

Rose Lanthier Williams
07/07/1927 - 08/02/2025
Rose Lanthier Williams, 98, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025, in her home town of San Francisco, where she was born on July 7, 1927, in the city's Noe Valley neighborhood.
A graduate of Immaculate Conception Academy, she built a successful career with AT&T, where she worked until her retirement.
In 1978 Rose married the love of her life, Lee Williams. Although Lee preceded her in death, Rosie cherished happy memories of their many travels in Europe and their adventures living the RV life in California.
Rose was an avid golfer and San Francisco 49ers fan. She loved dogs and always had one at her side, usually named "Midge."
She is lovingly remembered by her nieces Michele Bock, Suzanne Cronin, Valerie Lanthier Krovitz, Denise Hunt, and Dionne Habegger, her cousin Janice Romelfanger, and her stepdaughters Patricia Cullen and Janet Tam. Rosie was predeceased by her brothers Raymond Lanthier Jr. and John Lanthier.
Rosie's spirit and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

I have a couple warm memories of visiting Rose and Lee when they lived in Monterey and I was a young girl...cool cars, long coastal walks, and my first introduction to grapefruit sprinkled with sugar sitting in their dining room :). If there is an ever-after, I hope she and Lee are at peace, together.

Rose gave our dad many happy years of marriage and we are ever grateful for the care she gave him near the end of his life. I pray she rests in peace knowing she was loved.
