80, passed away peacefully after a brief hospital stay, on October 5, 2013. Surrounded by family and friends, her huge heart - always filled with love and laughter - finally just gave out. Born March 1, 1933, Ruth lived in Woodside, CA for the last 38 years. Ruth was the proud mother of four: the late Martin Glenn, Denise Ann (husband Andrew Zacks), Victoria Edna (husband Paul Archuleta) and Vanessa Ruth. Ruth loved spending time with her grandchildren Danielle Adamson, Madeleine Grace Zacks, Olivia Eve Zacks, and Simon Philip Zacks. Ruth will be sorely missed by all but most especially by her very loving husband of 56 years, Philip Leadbetter.
A private family service has been held. A celebration of Ruth's life will take place in the future and will be announced by the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution in Ruth's name to "The Class of 1954 Endowed Scholarship Fund", Institutional Advancement Office, Averett University, 420 West Main Street, Danville, VA 24541.

Dear Phil and all the "Leadbetters". I hope you are well. Having worked with Phil for some years before he retired and gotten to value and love him as a colleague and friend, I know that this family is unique. And so Ruth also was unique. I hope your memories of her are glorious and temper your sorrow until we all meet again.

Our thoughts & prayers are with your entire family. I'll never forget the few years that I [Dan] had the opportunity to work with Ruth - she was always smiling and encouraging everyone. The amazing thing is that I, Lilian, worked with Philip for many years & enjoyed hearing stories about their travels. What a happy couple. May God bless you & give you strength during this difficult time.

I lived across the street from your family in So. San Francisco. I used to "babysit " your Grandma when Ruth had to go out and the twins were little. Your mom was a wonderful woman and my heart goes out to you and your dad. Take care.
