SANDRA THREADGILL Obituary
Sandra Threadgill
Of Pinole, passed away September 6, 2012 at the age of 66. She was born in San Francisco on September 15, 1945. Sandra graduated from Balboa High School and attended Shorter College in Little Rock, Arkansas. Sandra was employed by the Social Security Administration for over 30 years before retiring in 2001. Sandra was married to Walter Threadgill of Pinole and is survived by two children: Mpenda Threadgill, of Richmond and Tamu Threadgill, of Elk Grove. A viewing will be held September 17, 2012 at Wilson and Kratzer Mortuaries, in San Pablo between 4pm and 8pm. Funeral Services will be held September 18, 2012 at 11am at Bethel A.M.E., 916 Laguna St. San Francisco. Please visit www.sandrathreadgill.com

Years ago Sandra and I worked in Module 30 of the Social Security Western Program Service Center in Richmond. Although she was only a casual acquaintance, I remember her well as friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and positive. It was a pleasure to be near her.

I ALSO WAS SUPRISED TO HEAR OF SANDRA'S PASSING. SHE WAS ONE OF THE BEST MANAGERS I HAD AT SSA. WE USED TO DO THE ELECTRIC SLIDE IN THE MODULE. SHE KEPT THE MORAL UP. WAS ALL AROUND GOOD PERSON. I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR THIS. EVEN THOUGH I NEVER HAD THE PLEASURE OF MEETING HER KIDS, I REMEMBER HER TALLKING ABOUT THEM. I WILL TRUELY MISS HER. MY PRAYERS GO OUT TO HER HUSBAND AND CHILDREN

Our deepest thoughts and prayers are with Sandra's family -- Walter, Mpenda and Tamu. She and her family were very close friends of my parents which produced many fond memories to cherish. My most memorable was the scholarship wine tour Sandra and Gloria created some years back. Sandra ensured each of us were well taken care of happy. Her fight is over and may she rest in peace. Loving, the Young Family.
