Scott was born in Petaluma, CA and was a lifelong resident of San Mateo County. He graduated from San Mateo High School and San Mateo Junior College. During high school he was employed by Draeger's Market in San Mateo.
Scott was a loyal Teamster member and enjoyed long employment with L.C. Smith Construction and J. W. McClenahan Plumbing of San Mateo. He served two years in the U.S. Navy and was a crewmember of the aircraft carrier USS Constellation. A loyal Raiders fan, Scott also enjoyed golf and gardening at his home in San Mateo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Arleen Jordan. He is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Sondra, his daughter Alison (Dave) Smalley of Danville, CA; two grandchildren, Ryan and Lauren Smalley; sisters Linda (Keith) Kofoed of Sonora, CA, Gail (John) Cooper of Sonora, CA, Wendy (Jim) Painter of San Carlos, CA; and brother-in-law Gary (Barbara) Tennis of Tahoe City, CA.
A private celebration of life with family members will be held at a future date in Sonora, CA.
St. Peter has welcomed a man more than willing to pull his weight in any and all endeavors. To those of us who knew and loved Scott; we are certain that Heaven will be a neater, tidier, more orderly home for us all when we arrive.
