I was an audio engineering student at SFSU in the late 80s, and Scott gave me an internship at his studio for a year. He was so kind to me, caring, mentoring and one of the most talented musicians I have ever know, and I come from a musical family. His mom Annette would always make me lunch. He provided me with one of the most memorable times of my life.

Oh my gosh, is this my Scott Singer who taught me shofar and grew up in the avenues with my brother Jonathan Curiel?

He just came in my head.

My condolences.

This saddens me more than I can say. We've known each other since the 3rd grade, and I will always love him. My deepest sympathy to his Mom, brother and sister.

We had so much fun in England, sailing, recording, eating, wining and smoking some great Cuban's. We enjoyed the hot tubs of Tahoh and built studios together. You did not have our permission to go so soon and we love and miss you, Scotty.

I grew up 1 block away from Scott on 14th avenue in the Richmond district and remember him giving me an amazing improvised concert on his moog and juno synths, circa 1980. Since then I would see him from time to time at Beth Sholom, where he did a beautiful job blowing the Shofar on High Holy Days. He was a remarkable musician.

We will always remember Scott's contagious smile and laughter and his passion, talent and love of music.

I had the pleasure of knowing Scott since Junior High school. We continued to be in touch through our high school reunion committee.

We will miss Scott!

Scott was my teacher, mentor, life coach, yoga instructor, fellow musician and friend. His musical talent inspired me to be a better musician. His positive outlook on life inspired me to be a better person. Creating music with him was always an amazing experience. I will cherish our time in the studio and our friendship always. Until we meet again, Robert

I'm so shocked by this untimely death. I have years of memories playing with Scott - we had a ridiculous amount of fun, stories of gigs that would still bring tears of laughter to our eyes. Some of us will remember our "Seiminars" and the infamous "Tango" episode. I pray God's comfort for Annette, his most devoted mother and the rest of his family. Rest in peace my friend.

We'll hear his hearty laughter and remember his beautiful smile as long as we live. What a grand person, friend and neighbor Scott was to us.

Back in 1992, I traveled with Scott to bring, for the first time, to the Country of Indonesia, state-of-the-art business conferences and all the ancillary services that go along with that. Scott was integral in bringing advanced corporate music/entertainment services to Bali for the first time in the history of that island. The client was Sun Microsystems. It was the grand opening of the Hyatt in Nusa Dua. It was an early time for Carol Bartz of Sun Micro... now of Autodesk. Scott was in the earlier phases of his career. Subsequently he provided many services for our company back in the States. He and David Goff "roasted" our company President Bill Lazzaretti. It was MEM-OR-ABLE in the most humorous of ways. Truly a Scott Singer signature piece. Wow... 1992. That was 17 years ago! Rest in peace. You're gone too early, man.....

Such sad news. I met Scott at a holiday party in Pacific Heights in the mid-1980's playing (what else) a grand piano. It was a privilege to work with him in his studio on Mariposa Street and follow his musical progress over the years. He will be missed. My sincere condolences to his mother.

I had the great pleasure and privilege to have spent my school years with Scott. We were best buds! I will remember that exuberant laugh of his - it always got us in trouble during class. Even back then Scott was such a gifted piano player. Scott, you will be deeply missed. Your childhood friend,

I went to HS with Scott and he was my date for the prom. I still have a copy of our picture from the prom and look at it from time-to-time. I enjoyed our time at GWHS especially during choir performances and drama performances. Our paths have not crossed since, but I am very sad to hear of his passing. I will always cherish the memories.

Scott was a great neighbor always willing to share his deck to watch the sunset and help us eat & drink find foods and wine with the after blessing of a good cuban cigar! He was exuberant about life and passionate about everything he did! He loved, loved, loved the finer things! We will miss him. May he rest in peace!
