My deepest sympathy goes out to Sean's mother, cousin Arleen, his brother cousin Kevin and his children Anthony, Rebecca, Sara and all his family. I am so sorry ~ what a shock! I still can't believe it. God works in mysterious ways. Sean had bright infectious eyes and a great smile. He was such a handsome man. We spent many hours playing together as kids. We had fun times at all the family gatherings in San Francisco. Sean, you will be missed, may your soul rest in peace now and forever with your dad, Paul, Uncle John, Aunt Mary, Uncle Al, Aunt Angie, Uncle Pat, Uncle Billy, Uncle Tommy, Grandma May Sandwell, George and Gloria Sandwell. God must have needed you now for reason we won't understand. Top of the morning to you Sean, until we meet again. XO

I had the opportunity to meet Sean just 5 weeks ago. The Thursday before his passing we had lunch together and he took me to his house to play some music. He was a different man on his piano. I am reminded in his passing that none of us can guarantee tomorrow and that life is a vapor quickly passing by. I am praying for his family and friends during this time of grieving and loss.

Sean Mckenna was a trained piano player among other things and I would try to play harmonica to his playing. At least twice the music took off in directions that throughly amazed the both of us. We would look at each other after playing and we would start cracking up. Sean would just shrug his shoulders like it was another day at the office. GodSpeed, Lad.

I am deeply saddened by this news! God must have needed Seans help, for he only calls the best home to him. He was a great soccer coach to my daughter & called her back to the team even if she sat on the field & picked flowers during the game. He will be missed by many! My condolences to Michele,
Anthony, Rebecca, Sara & the rest of the family! May he rest in peace

Just sitting here & thinking how we just don't know....
It's been a lifetime since we were all teenagers running around & being silly. Those are the memories of Sean that will live in my heart.
Sending out prayers & PVs that you find comfort and strength in each other. Sean was a good & caring person. His memory is forever etched on the hearts of those he loved.

I met Sean over 20 years ago when he was my son's pre-school teacher. As the only male teacher, he knew how to deal with my very active boy. We kept in touch through our employment with the City of SF. I am in shock! Sean, my friend, thank you and rest in peace!

I am so saddened to see this. I met Sean when I superised him as a volunteer, when I was the Lead Teacher at SFUSD Campus Children's Center at City College. He was wonderful young man of 19 then, and we all loved him there. I saw him at Sears down the peninsula more than 20 years ago, and he told me he was married with a child then. My deepest condolences go to you, his loved ones, on his loss. Sincerely, Don Waits
