Shiela was a remarkable woman. She inspired me in so many ways that no one has ever done. I worked closely with her for three years at UCSF. She was a mother to me and she was my rock, she was always there when I needed her, especially through the toughest moments of my life. I truly believe that our paths crossed because god knew that I needed someone like her. She was my guardian angel. I love and miss her so much. I extend my deepest sympathy to her children, Thomas, Catherine and Robert. THANK YOU for sharing a wonderful woman....

To Sheila's family,
Please accept my heartfelt condolence. Sheila had a very kind heart and extended her generosity to the missionaries of the SVD Philippines. The Mission Secretary of SVD Philippines is a family friend. I have informed him of Sheila's passing and he has arranged for masses to be offered for Sheila for one week in Manila. He has also enrolled Sheila in the SVD perpetual prayers for the departed.
