I met Sheila in 1984 when she cane into the salon I worked at in San Rafael to have her hair washed and braided. I did her hair twice a week for 30 + years! I loved hearing about all her adventures around the world and her latest acquisitions to her sculpture garden. When I moved on to open my own salon, she was my mentor in business. She was a huge help coaching me on strategies for success. Her kindness and generosity will never be forgotten. One of my last fond memories of her is when she happen to be in Paris the same time I took my son and she made it a point to meet at one of her favorite restaurants, La Coupole, for a fabulous dinner! I will one day go back there and raise a glass of champagne to her. She opened my eyes to so many ideas and possibilities. She left this planet a better place. XOXO

Living by Sheila and Michael was a treasure and a blessing! How fun it was to learn that they were Foremost McKesson employees which became the National Food Lab and I worked and commuted there, when Michael asked where I went every day! They both blessed our lives with their support of our son. When we moved back to Colo we dug up the Japanese maple she gave us in his memory and brought it, I think of her everyday when I look at it! Here’s to our Orange marmalade, Michael, as you enjoy Sheila once again!

I was the Tour Director on several of Sheila's overseas art journeys - particularly to Italy. Her quiet, wistful kindness was always a joy, as was her true appreciation of all kinds of art and natural beauty. She was a much hoped-for dinner companion, and made such a great impression with her independence, intelligence, and cheeky sense of mirth. So glad to have gotten to know her! Peace and blessings to all her family and friends.
