June 21, 1921 - June 30, 2015
Passed peacefully at home on June 30, 2015 with his son, Douglas, and daughter Celeste by his side. Born in San Francisco on June 21, 1921 to Miriam and Arthur Doughty. Loving husband of Marjorie M. Doughty who preceded him in death in 2012 after 68 years of marriage. Preceded in death by his sister Dorothy Mirande.Served two tours of duty in the U.S. Army during WWII reaching the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. He was stationed in the Aleutian Islands and participated in active combat to defend North American soil. He worked for 35 years at Carew and English Funeral Home in San Francisco. He loved swimming and ham radio broadcasting and, most of all, traveling the globe with his wife Marge.
He will be sorely missed by his son Douglas and daughter Celeste (and her husband Drew), his grandchildren Aimee Lauer (and her husband Aaron) and Erik James; his great grandchildren Maria and Trey James and Bethany and Daphne Lauer; and by his God daughter Roberta Valdez.
A vigil service will be held at Sullivan's Funeral Home located at 2254 Market St. in San Francisco at 7pm on Monday July 6 and a funeral mass at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Daly City at 11am on Tuesday July 7. Interment at Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno at 1pm.
Donations can be made to St. Anthony's Dining Room, 150 Golden Gate Ave., S.F. CA 94102 or charity of your choice.

Stanley was always a gentleman and all around nice guy. I believe he was the last of the remaining "club" members who meant monthly for many years. They are all together again. Please except our condolences. Craig and Sandi Carter (Son and Daughter in law of the late Emmett and Eleanor Carter)
