Stuart (Stu) Gilbert

June 8, 1932 - December. 28, 2017

Stu was born in New York City. In 1951 Stu enlisted in the USAF and honorably discharged at the end of the Korean Conflict. He moved to San Francisco in 1967 to continue his career at National Utility Service(an International Energy Consultant Firm) where he was the Vice President and General Manager of the Western Division for 32 years. He graduated from New York University with a B.S. in Business Administration and later received his Masters of Business Administration from The College of Notre Dame.
Stu was a special man who devoted his life to family and friends which included many years of coaching youth soccer. Stu was on the first Foster City AYSO soccer board of directors, and was on the first Foster City Senior Advisory Committe. He was later honored by being enshrined in the Foster City Sports Hall of Fame.
He is survived by his wife Carol and they recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. He is also survived by his sons, Todd(Wendy) and Dan, beloved Grandchildren, Corey, Alyssa, Casey and Noah and his brother Jerry (Pearl) Gilbert

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday , January 3 2:00 pm at Skylawn Memorial Park, Highway 92 and Skyline Blvd, San Mateo, California
