Susan Lee Obituary

Susan D. Lee 1930 - 2011 Passed peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loving family on April 25. She is survived by her husband Al Bin Lee; two daughters, Bonnie and Lauretta (Andrew); son Colin (Mimi); grandsons, Mark, James, and Christopher; granddaughter Alana; sisters, Jean, Katie, Gloria and Audrey; brother Donald. She was predeceased by daughter Alana, sister Eleanor, and brother Hung. Susan was a kind, empathic, intellectual person, who will always be remembered as beautiful inside as well as out, with an upbeat attitude. She had a 30-year career at Bank of America as a systems analyst. She tirelessly devoted her life to caring for her family, and had various hobbies including golf (hole-in-one at Harding), gourmet foodie, and sharing a good laugh. She was courageous and graceful fighting leukemia; surviving longer than any expectations. She is sorely missed and will live in our hearts forever! No services will be held. Donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at www.LLS.org. Log on to www.duggansserra.com to sign the guestbook.

Auntie Susie--
You were always an optimistic person, even to the end. Every time we talked, you said you felt good and you were determined to make those 3 times a week trips to the hospital because you knew as long as you kept doing it, it would keep you alive. You were smart, funny, fashionable and pretty and I will miss your laughter and smiling face. Thanks for being such a cool Aunt. Heaven has gained an angel. I hope they have keno and lots of slot machines up there! Love you lots, janet

Auntie Susie, Thanks for the wonderful memories, that as we get older we seem to appreciate more. The many weekends spent at our house in the 80's when the 49er's never lost, all the gang would be there and after some coffee & cake the fella's would play cards late into the night. Our trip in the 90's to the black sea will always be special. Auntie I enjoyed our conversations the last few months. You put up a brave undaunted fight and as far as I can tell you won. It goes without saying you will be sorely missed.Thank you for impacting my life in such a graceful positive manner. Love, Aaron

Susie was always friendly to me from the first time I went to a Dere holiday dinner. She was always up beat and curious about what was going on in my life. She will be missed.

Susie was the greatest role model for me, her daughter. I was so fortunate and lucky to have such a smart, gracious, loving mother. May her positive attitude and spirit give strength to those who knew her. (Hope you are having fun and hitting a big jackpot, Mom.) I love you, Mom!
