Tadgh McSweeney Obituary

Tadgh McSweeney

2/25/1960 – 9/28/17

It is with great sadness that we announce the untimely death of Tadgh McSweeney, a native of County Cork, Ireland – son of the late Den and Nellie McSweeney, husband to Kathy, and father to Tommy and Sinead, brother to Johnny and Eileen, brother-in-law to Mairead and Kieran, and beloved uncle to Iseult, Isla, Donagh, and Liam and grand-uncle to Eve, Jane, Anna, Dylan, Rionach and Aisling.

Tadgh passed away suddenly in Granada, Nicaragua on September 28, 2017 at the age of 57. He was known and loved by many in the Bay Area, including his American cousins with whom he enjoyed many holiday gatherings. He was a contractor for over 25 years working in San Francisco and the East Bay. He was a hardworking and honest man with great charisma and a playful sense of humor.

His pride and joy were his children, Tommy and Sinead, whom he loved very much.

Funeral services will be in Ireland – date TBD.

I had the good fortune of working alongside Tadgh a few years ago. He was a lovely man. It's sad that he left us so young.
