Thomas Dee Jr.

Thomas Joseph Dee, Jr passed away peacefully on January 21st, 2013 aged 92 years. Beloved husband of Lynne; loving father of Deborah Dee Fitzgerald, Thomas Dee III and Daniel Dee; predeceased by his first wife Carmel and his daughter Patricia; cherished grandfather of Joshua Tapua Fitzgerald and great-grandfather of Libby Fitzgerald; much loved by many relatives, Lynne's family and numerous friends. Born and raised in San Francisco, Thomas took over the family business, Dee Engineering at the age of 26 years until his recent retirement.
His accomplishments included the founding of the Pension Fund for the Bricklayers Union and a 60 year member of the Olympic Club.
Thomas will be remembered as an old fashioned died-in-the-wool San Franciscan, a sentiment that was reflected from many colleagues and friends at his retirement evening. As one friend said "Tom is a hero - the glue welding the fabric together"
