Bev- We can't believe it's been over 8-years since we lost Tom. He was a lifetime friend. I first got to know Tom in the 4th or5th grade when we were in the Boy Scouts at Mission Dolores. We had many fun times. Bobbi and I remember our famous trip to England,Ireland ,Scotland and Wales where we had a great time. Also the 4th of July parties at your home in Napa. I think of Tom often and know he is looking down from up above with the big guy. Love to you always.

Dear Beverly and my old buddy Jeff:

I just heard today of Tom's passing today. He was such a nice guy and was always very warm & welcoming when I was over there. I fondly remember a few scout camping trips when I was younger with Tom & Jeff, and then some fun times later on. I stayed over there quite a bit in 1983-84, and Tom was always so welcoming. He had a funny sense of humor too. I could tell the father/son stuff was really important to him, and how much he loved his family. Just a really good guy who I fondly remember. I miss my old buddy Jeff and hopes he's doing well, as is the whole family. There were few families I encountered as nice as you guys. Lots of love ... Tom will always be fondly remembered.

Love, Tad

My condolences to the Doonan Family. Tom was a friendly and great person to be around. I learned how to be a great President in the San Francisco Baseball Old Timers. He will surely be missed, I know that Tom is looking down on all of us with a big smile.

Dear Beverly and family, I am sorry to hear about the death of Tom. We were classmates at Mission Dolores. The McGuire family lived at 16th St. between Dolores and Guerrero and the Doonans lived on Guerrero between 16th and 15th; so, just around the corner. I remember visiting their house one Saturday morning, hoping to go to a movie with Tom. However, Tom's father had everybody doing chores before they could leave the house. First things first. Later I came to reconnect with his mother when I became pastor of Most Holy Redeemer Parish and with his sister Rosemary who lived in the neighboring parish. One very happy moment for me was when Tom and fellow classmate Bill Curran invited me to be an honorary member of their graduating class 50th anniversary from Sacred Heart High School. It was a great honor for me that they included me in that way. My prayers go with you and all the family. May he rest in peace. Fr. Tony McGuire

My condolences to Tom's family and friends. I knew Tom from the SF Old-Timers and also played baseball against him when he was in Japan through the military.
A great guy who will be missed.

Beverly and family, you are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. I'm so glad to have known Tom, and I so enjoyed the periodic phone conversations with him about the '57 class news updates and how he looked forward to working with Bill Curren on the '57 luncheons. Tom was just the nicest person and I know he will be greatly missed.
