Tomas "Tom Tom" Mercado Carpio IV was born in Manila, Philippines to Rebecca Mercado and Tomas Carpio Jr. Tomas was a beloved husband, dad, grandfather, and friend who has greatly impacted everyone's life. He could put a smile on everyone's face as soon as he walked into the room, especially with his contagious laugh. Tom passed away suddenly on July 29, 2025 at Mills Peninsula Hospital in Millbrae.
He is survived by his wife and best friend, Jannette, and his children- Chloe, Rachel, Alex, Czar, Ranier, and TJ. Tom also leaves behind his beautiful grandchildren- Alana, Kaelyn, Lorraine, and Maila.
Tom attended San Sebastian college in the Philippines then moved to the United States in 1988. He began his career at Charles Schwab then switched careers to became one of the best property managers in the San Francisco Bay area. He was a property manager for 20 years and became friends with so many people through his job at Founders Realty. Tom was dearly loved by everyone and will be missed. He will forever remain in our hearts.
In celebration of his life, there will be a visitation at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave. in Daly City on Thursday and Friday August 7-8, 2025 from 4-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 9th at 10:30am at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 3700 Callan Blvd. in South San Francisco. Tom will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Colma.
