I stayed with Uncle Frank from 2000-2001 when I studied at SFSU.
It was supposed to be without board. However, he would prepare my breakfast and dinner almost everyday. He sometimes baked breads, Tai-yaki, waffles. All foods he prepared for me were full of his affection that made it possible for me to go through my hard school days. I was not the only one, Uncle Frank supported many other students from Japan. I am sure that he had treated all other house guests with the same consideration he gave to me. Uncle Frank, you are so missed by all of us.
