Victoria Micu Obituary
Dec 2, 1938 - March 3, 2017
Victoria (Vicky) Micu, 78, longtime Pittsburg teacher, writer and activist, has died in her home after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her husband, Michael Lengyel; her sister, Audrey Beauchamp; her two sons, Richard and Michael Beyer, and four grandchildren, Samantha, Jacob, Madeline and Nicholas Beyer.A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 11am at the Hampton Inn, 1201 California Ave., Pittsburg. She would welcome contributions in her memory to the Sierra Club , PETA, Greenpeace or Amnesty International.

I just saw that Vicky died. I will let my mom, Betty Lou [Standish] Kerridge know. Mom always enjoyed spending time with Vicky when she came to visit in Michigan. Our heartfelt sympathy and prayers to all of you. Love, Cyndi [Kerridge] Huibregtse, one of the twins.

Vicky will always be remembered for her great teaching skills and her mentoring of new teachers. She has always remained in my heart and in my thoughts.

Ms. Micu was my second grade teacher at Highlands Elementary. Thank you so much for teaching me how to read and being one of my favorite teachers in the PUSD. She will be missed.
