William J. Welsh It is with warm memories and deep sorrow the family of William (Bill) John Welsh announce his passing from cancer at the age of 86 on Monday, March 29, 2010. He was predeceased by his parents William and Marie Welsh and four sisters, Mary, Jean, Helen and Frances. Bill was born October 30, 1923 in San Francisco. He attended Mission Dolores Grammar School, Sacred Heart High School, St. Marys College and University of Georgia Preflight School. During World War II Bill served with and for the Coast Guard and U.S. Navy as an Aviator Cadet. After his travels throughout the East and South he returned home to San Francisco. After a long career with Pacific Bell Company Bill retired in 1982. Following, he enjoyed the best of two worlds as he and Nita spent their time between their home in San Francisco and their lovely cottage in Carmel. Dear Mrs Welsh & Family;
I was sad to read of the passing of your dear husband and father. I had the pleasure of working for Bill in 1979 on the Functional Accounting project. He was a wonderful boss and mentor. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Best wishes,
Marge Donaldson
