Ysabel Seijas Obituary

Ysabel Seijas Jun 16, 1923 - Apr 8, 2010 It is with deep sorrow to inform of the passing of Ysabel Seijas. She died comfortably at Pacific Medical Center after 86 years of a wonderful life. A graduate of Notre Dame de Victoires in 1940, she entered her adult life as a business woman, working for McCrosky Airflex, Spencer Buick, and finally for 30 years as and executive secretary for the General Tire and Rubber Company. Preceded in death by her parents Isabel and Bautista Garcia, her brother Arnold Garcia, and her husband Louis Paul Seijas. She leaves behind her closest confidante and loving son, Louis John Seijas and without a doubt, her most precious assets, her twin grandsons, Jake and Max Seijas. They were the light of her life and she will always be remembered as their "Abuelita". Ysabel is also survived by her niece Arlene Johnston and nephew Richard Garcia. Among those who touched her life were her daughter's in-law Jacqueline Delfino and Janet Bosnich. Ysabel had an unusual outlook on life and possesed, at times, a provocative personality. A lifelong Giants and 49ers fan, she was constantly looking at the box scores and standing. Lately, she waxed reminiscently, about her best friend Stella Lukyen and of her childhood dog "Queenie". Private services were held for the family at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Dear Louis, Jake and Max:
I just learned of Ysabel's passing, and my thoughts and prayers go out to you. She was my dear friend and neighbor since 1973 on 17th Avenue. She glowed when she talked about the twins. We always had fun talking about our dogs. I remember that big Black Lab she adopted in the late '70s I think, who grew too big for her to handle and then did not survive due to this growth abnormality; that was so sad for her, for all of us. She loved my son, watched him grow up from a baby to adulthood; was so delighted that he and his own family returned to live in our family home and likewise has been watching my little granddaughter grow up. I will miss Ysabel, her beautiful long single blonde braid, her trademark. A wonderful wonderful friend.
