I lived in the back house at Hank & Ann . Great people I'm sorry I did not get to say good bye . I think Hank would be happy to know I became a better guitar player in the years . My first years of guitar where in the back house ..... R.I.P. Hank & Ann .....

I remember chatting with Hank in the late 60s when I wrote some items about The Collectors for my high school newspaper. Due in part to Hanks knack for generating publicity, The Collectors generated plenty of media attention in Vancouverwhere they hailed fromand California, where the quintet hunkered down for months at a time of recording and touring. In reviewing these tributes to Hank, Im heartened he continued promoting musical artists in addition to branching out to include alternative energy. Belated Godspeed to a very charismatic and positive person.

From the first time I met Hank, I knew I was hanging with a guy who cared about those he worked with and bands he managed. I was just a kid in college and writing about the LA rock scene. He introduced me around and learned that indie side of the business first hand. Still cherish the old BadAxe days, good times and good people. RIP

I met Hank for the first time in 2004. Although it was our first meeting, we acted like we knew each other for years. I made several trips to his house and he always treated everyone with generosity.
He was a kind man with wonderful stories and a knowledge of so many topics. I'll miss Hank.

I was saddened to hear of Hank's passing. He treated all his friends like family. I thanked Hank for helping me to survive moving from Detroit to Cali in '81, first with a job at On TV , then hiring me to produce his band "Deep Freeze". This was the start of my musical career. Hank always had an open door for his 'crew' making sure we didn't go hungry, in style with the fab legendary parties on Daventry.
He once told me he introduced Cheech to Chong, which I thought was a wild statement, either he's a big liar or he did. After Cheech broke up with Chong, I read an article in TV guide Nash Bridges show, his account of meeting Tommy Chong was very similar to the tale Hank told. I was doing a remix for a RCA group and Cheech was doing voice overs for them, so I invited Hank to be there. As soon as Cheech saw Hank he pointed and said "Thats the guy who introduced me to Tommy Chong, I don't know wheather to kiss him or slug him" (he was fueding with Chong at the time), we all had a big laugh.
I will NEVER forget your kindness to me and Mr Ray, Hank RIP

I'm very sad to hear from a mutual friend of Hanks passing. Hank was my first music manager when I arrived in Los Angeles. He was very kind, always positive & helpful, & as someone has mentioned previously ,forever the optimist.
I will never forget his encouragement as well as his story about Woodstock(?) :) He said he was alone in a"green room" rest area in a nearby grammar school with Janis Joplin. She sat across from him at one of the desks. He started taking pictures while she posed w/ funny faces. Afterward he realized he had no film left in the camera. We laughed a lot. I will remember him smiling always.
With Love, & Great Respect,

Hank was the ultimate optimist person.
the most positive, forgiving, fun loving, charming and a great story teller.
Hank was also a very innovative person and a great salesman.
He was for many a years a friend and a mentor, the parties in the 80s at his house in Pacoima were legendary.
Thank you Hank for all you have given us and for everything you had tought me.

I met Hank through my former guitar player and ex-boyfriend David, who had worked with him in a previous band. Hank took an interest in David's new band, for which I was (and still am) the lead singer. Hank booked some show for us, video taped many performances, designed flyers for gigs and was in attendance at most of them. I remember hanging out at his house in Pacoima with him and his then wife Anne. I have fond memories of Hank and was saddened to hear of his passing.
