Roger Neil Wilkinson

1941 - 2021

June 19, 1941 - Mar. 12, 2021 Roger Neil Wilkinson, of Covina, passed away in the early morning of Friday, March 12th. Roger was born in Emerson, Iowa on June 19th, 1941 to Judson & Ruby Wilkinson. In 1968, Roger began a happy and loving marriage to Margaret "Kay" Wilkinson of Estherville, Iowa. Roger was rewarded his Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Iowa (Go Hawkeyes!) and a Masters of Science in Systems Engineering from Harvey Mudd. Relocating to Covina, California in 1971, Roger worked many years at Honeywell Aerospace, before branching out to other companies. For the past 25+ years, he served as the head engineer at PerTronix Performance Brands. When Roger wasn't working or having fun with his family, he could be found on a golf course, tennis court, on a bike, or running. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Roger was also a friend to all. He was predeceased by his wife, Kay, in 2014, but is survived by his three children, son Todd Wilkinson, his wife Kirsten, and their two daughters, Ella and Emery; daughter Jennifer Alexander and her husband William; and daughter, Toni Wilkinson. He is also survived by his brothers, Robert and Randy Wilkinson, and sister, Ronda Kohrs, and predeceased by his brother, Ronald Wilkinson. A memorial / celebration of Roger's life will take place when the world is a safer place for all to travel and hug.
