Edith Lutze Obituary

Edith Minnie Rusch Lutze

Edith Lutze died Saturday January 4, 2014, at the age of 93. She was born April 20, 1920, the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Haupt Rusch. She married Roland Lutze May 27, 1939. Edith worked at the Kohler Company 1969-1986 and was an active member of the Cleveland area community. She is preceded in death by her husband, brothers Ruben and Paul, and sister Elizabeth Rusch Hoefner. She is survived by her sister Anita Rodewald, Wausau; children, Janet Lutze, Milwaukee; Shirley (William) Wagner, Scottsdale; Sharon Polk, Kansas City; Richard (Sarah) Lutze, Newton; and 5 beloved grandchildren, Gretchen Wagner, William Polk, James Polk, David Lutze, and Matthew Lutze.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday January 7, 2014 at St. John and St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cleveland. Pastor David Endorf will officiate and burial will follow at Saxon Cemetery in Town Centerville. A visitation will be at the church from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Centreville Settlement (centrevillesettlement.com), of which she was a founding member.

Stoltenberg Funeral Chapel of Cleveland is assisting the family with these funeral arrangements.
