Frederick Schueller Obituary

Schueller, Frederick D.

Frederick D. "Fred" Schueller, age 81 years of Belgium was born September 15, 1934 in Belgium, Wisconsin to Fred N. and Elsie (Wetor) Schueller. On November 20, 1954, he married Cecilia Schmitz of Saukville at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saukville.

After graduating from Port Washington High School in 1952, Fred attended Milwaukee School of Engineering. He worked on his family's farm with his father while also working at Krier Canning and at Rice Pump and Machine Company in Belgium. Fred later obtained a full time position at Bolens located in Port Washington and was employed there for 10 years while still helping on the farm part time. At the end of the ten years he switched his passion to the art of woodworking. Fred and his son Wayne started a business together on April 1, 1979 called SCHU Industries Inc. located in Random Lake, WI. SCHU Industries is the manufacturer of a variety of commercial wood products such as hotel furniture, store displays, hospital cabinetry, etc. Fred remained active in the business and when he was able, still visited SCHU Industries up until his death. He was very proud of SCHU Industries and treasured many lifelong friendships that were formed from business acquaintances.

Fred was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and Catholic Knights organizations. He was a supporter of 4-H in Ozaukee County. For many years early in Fred and Cecilia's marriage, Fred was active on a bowling team and both he and Cecilia enjoyed their card club get-togethers. They enjoyed traveling to many states just running short of visiting all 50 states. They treasured their opportunity to visit Germany and to meet relatives for the very first time during that visit.

Fred and Cecilia were avid Brewer and Packer fans. Vince Lombardi and his coaching techniques were very inspiring to Fred. For many years they held season ticket packages to the Brewer's games. They also enjoyed attending neighboring church dinners and picnics. Fred always enjoyed tinkering with something either in his garage, in the yard or at the shop. He was always active. Fred enjoyed listening to both country and polka music. Fred and Cecilia loved attending any activity that they could that involved their children or grandchildren. Most of all they both enjoyed time spent together with their family.

Survivors include Fred's wife of 60 years, Cecilia, 4 children Wayne (Mickie) Schueller of Random Lake, Sandy (Larry) Duwell of Adell, Susan (Kevin) Richison of Belgium and Paul (Naomi) Schueller of Cascade. Eight wonderful grandchildren Amy (Matt) Brockdorf of Madison, Amanda (Rob) Wampner of Mukwonago, Dawn (Daniel) Moore of Centreville VA, Brian Duwell of Coon Valley, William (Lindsay) Richison of Port Washington, Samuel Richison of Belgium, Ryan (Brenna) Schueller of Minneapolis, MN and Kendra Schueller of Cascade. Great Grandchild Evelyn Brockdorf and two more great granddaughters soon to arrive.

Also survived by two sisters Carol Flerchinger and Pearl Paradeis, In-laws Killian Burton, Bernice Schueller, Ginny Schueller, Robert and Delores Schmitz, Marcy Schmitz and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents and parents-in-law, brothers Leroy, Robert, Ronald, sisters Mildred Burton, Joyce Schmit and Doris Gahan, brothers-in-law Lyall Flerchinger, Vernon Schmit, John E. Gahan Jr. and Arthur Schmitz.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, September 30, 6 PM at Divine Savior Holy Cross Chapel, 5330 Hwy. B, Belgium.
