James Chaltry Obituary

James J. Chaltry, 56, of Oostburg died in Marinette County on January 20, 2015.

Jim was born on June 5, 1958 in Menominee, Michigan, the son of Marvin and Alyce (Comyne) Chaltry. He graduated from Sheboygan South High School in 1976. On September 27, 1986 he married Paula (Limbrey) Sharp in Sheboygan. Jim was a truck driver for the Kohler Co. for the past 25 years.

He attended Hope Reformed Church in Sheboygan and was a member of the Kohler Quarter Century Club and formerly of the Sheboygan County Special Deputy Sherriff Assoc. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing and trains. He was a regular supporter of his children's activities and spending time with other family and friends. Jim played Santa Claus for the past number of years, bringing Christmas joy to many.

He is survived by his wife, Paula; daughter, Treva Chaltry of Kohler; son, Lucas Chaltry of Chicago; his father, Marvin Chaltry of Sheboygan Falls; three sisters, Cindy (Robin) Nesst of Howards Grove, Mary (Marlyn) Meinnert of Sheboygan, and Kristin (Doug) Blada of Howards Grove; his mother-in-law Imogene Limbrey of Richmond, Indiana; two sisters-in-law, Brenna (Dale) Lynch of Fountain City, Indiana, and Marla (Dennis) Swope of Englewood, Florida. Jim is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Alyce Chaltry and his father-in-law, Charles Limbrey.

A funeral to celebrate Jim's life will take place at Hope Reformed Church in Sheboygan on Saturday January 24, 2015 at 10 am with Rev. Bill TeWinkle officiating.

Family and friends will gather at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Friday from 4-8 pm, and at church, on Saturday from 9am until the time of the service at 10 am.

A memorial fund is being established in his name.
